David Blaker – Athlete Biography

David Blaker is a junior and is an outside linebacker and fullback for the football team.

This year David would like to focus on making the playoffs and being on the all-conference team again. “I lift 5 days a week and run 3 days a week. I like to condition myself to be in the best shape I can be.”  David also continues to work with his coaches and teammates to improve their performance as a team on the field.

David encourages other kids to join the team and play football.  He says there’s no other feeling like the feeling that you get before and after each game.  He really looks forward to getting to play with other athletes who are just as dedicated to the sport as he is.  Each season you get to look forward to playing in every game and hopefully making the playoffs at the end of the year. You’ll always remember your best game. David’s best game was this year against West Greene because they won and he made 12 tackles and had 2 sacks. He tells aspiring players to work hard in the offseason and to go hard on every play.

David has played football for 2 years.  “These past two school years I lettered.  It was very rewarding.  I hope to letter again this year.”  He also has made a lot of memories playing this sport.  “My favorite high school football memory was beating Carmichaels.” This happened David’s freshman year.

David plans to enjoy every moment of playing for the Rockets. David does have plans to play at California University of Pennsylvania in two years. “My senior year I’m going to give it my A- game and play like and all-star.”
