Athlete Biography – Savannah Seasan

Savannah Seasan is a freshman in high school and plays forward on the varsity girls’ basketball team. Moving on to her fifth year playing basketball she enjoys being with her team mates and some point in her future plans to continue on in college.

“When I first moved here I wanted to start playing sports. Both of my parents played and basketball is what I chose and happened to fall for. In the future I plan to continue with basketball as far as I can with it.”

As far as to being involved with the sport there always comes time for laughter to lighten up everyone’s mood. Practice is the perfect place Savannah says is where everyone on the team can laugh, make throws, practice and have a good time together. Basketball requires 100% team work and working together to take on the other opponents they go up against. The toughest opponent to her would have to be Carmichaels because of the rival history and competiveness.

“Although this is my freshman year, Carmichaels’ are the biggest player. Going up against the school that hates one another you want to push yourself and your team to help each other out and win the game. WE have that JM pride that when it comes to games we cannot hide.”

Being a freshman on the varsity basketball team is a great experience for Savannah. Not only is learning from the upper classmen on the team but making friends. The team is always supportive of one another but she would say her go to person would have to be Shelby Rosinsky who is supportive over good and bad. Over all in the end she loves having home games so the student section can come and support the girls. Having a home game, home students, and fans cheering only makes the night so much better.
