Shelby Rosinsky – Athlete Biography

Shelby Rosinsky is a senior and a guard for the varsity basketball team.

Shelby grew up around sports. She was inspired to join the basketball team by her brother. Her brother, mother, uncle had all played basketball in highschool. She has been playing basketball since she was four years old. When asked who her biggest fan was she said, “My family are my biggest fans.”

In Shelby’s last game, she scored 8 points. Her favorite memory from last season is winning against Carmichaels, her biggest rival. In the off season, she prepares by practicing ball handling, running a lot and playing other sports to keep in shape. This season Shelby is looking forward to making play-offs. Her favorite professional player is Cheryl Ford. She is a real inspiration to her.

When asked if she preferred home or away games Shelby responded with “I like home games. The fans are great and pump the whole team up. It pushes us to want to win twice as much.” Her go to people on the court are Savannah Saeson and Nicole Venick.

Rosinsky considers herself as her toughest opponent. She has to push herself to do her best. Her motto is to never give up.
