Brooke Diamond is a sophomore and plays in all positions on the Jefferson-Morgan softball team.

Brooke plays in many positions on the softball team. She plays wherever she is needed. Her jersey number is 13. When asked is she has always wanted to play this sport, she said “Yes. I fell in love with softball when I was little and have loved it ever since.” Brooke has played softball now for 11 or 12 years. She prepares for the season by practicing her batting and throwing.

A hope that Brooke has for the team is for them to win WPIAL. A way that the team has changed from last season is that they have gotten a lot better in batting and some friendships got closer. Brooke had lettered last year, her freshman year.

When asked who her inspiration is, she said Chris Dugan. “Chris Dugan is my inspiration. He has pushed me to be the person I am. He has fought me a lot. He has made me the person and the player I am today.” A superstition/ritual that Brooke has is that if they are on a winning streak, she will wear the same bow and headband along with the same hairstyle in the next game.

Brooke is going to continue her high school softball career next year and the year after. I would like to wish Brooke good luck along with the rest of the JM softball team with the rest of the season. I hope Brooke achieves all that she would like.
