Payton Wright is a freshman and a member of the basketball team.

As a freshman, starting high school sports for the first time is always fun and exciting. There are also some expectations that come along with it as well.

“I just expect us to win games and get better throughout the season,” Wright said.

While playing a sport, there are some pros and cons. As an athlete, you love the sport you play, but there is always one part you love above the rest.

“My favorite part is playing as a team. I also enjoy winning, but working together is what I enjoy the most,” Wright commented. “I always enjoy playing with my team.”

Everything someone does has a starting point. Where they got their inspiration or even what was the turning point in their life to start something new. Starting something new comes with goals to achieve year after year.

“I started when I was in second grade because it looked fun and I wanted to try something new,” Wright said. “I personally just want to become a better overall player.”
