On February 23rd, AP students did the mock exams for AP ES, AP LIT & COMP, and AP LANG & COMP to prepare for the upcoming tests this May.

The AP mock exams are from sample tests from the last years real exam. These questions test the student on their ability to answer to information based off of what they have learned in their AP class this year. These exams also show students where they are at for the current year, and where they need to improve on to allow plenty of time to study before the real exam.

These students who did the mock exam only did the multiple choice section during the exam period. This allows teachers to go more in depth with the short answer or free – response portions during the actual class, so their students can adapt their skills. The AP ES mock exam was two hours, the AP LANG & COMP exam was 1 and a half hours, and the AP LIT & COMP exam was only one hour.

Many students believe that these exams do truly help them succeed on their tests. Devin Villarreal has said, “These exams do truly work. They definitely helped me pass my real exams last year.” Catt Diamond also stated that, “These exams keep you mentally prepared for what’s to come for the real test.”
