Apple refuses to unlock a phone

More stories from Silvia Metz

I honestly do not really know how I feel about apple not wanting to unlock the iPhone because this could be a good thing or a bad thing because our phones holds so many things like personal texts, social media passwords and accounts, and personal photos. This however could be a good thing because if someone goes missing the federal government could easily track that phone and find that person so it prevents a death.

I do not really think that the federal government has the right to access a phone, and I think Apple did have the right to chose whether or not they should unlock that phone. I do not really think that the federal government has the right to access a phone, and I think Apple did have the right to chose whether or not they should unlock that phone. I think this because Apple understands that there is a lot of Information within that phone that might not be okay to look at. If someone were to go missing and they were able to track down the phone then that is a whole different story.Apple would have no choice but to because they would help find a missing person and they would not  want to feel responsible.

I honestly do not have a side, but I just think it is up to Apple whether or not they want that person’s information to be found but then I feel like they should because then apple could be easily be put out of business since the federal government can do that. Apple is also a really great product to have but the company would also lose or worry some consumers whether or not to buy a phone or anything from them since they are able to get to all of that person’s personal things.
