Eli Rafail – Athlete Biography

Eli Rafail is a sophomore and one year letterman on the Jefferson Rocket baseball team.

Eli Rafail got interested into baseball around the age of three and has been playing every year from little league up until high school. Eli is a one year letterman since he has been on the high school team.

Watching the famous Pirates team when he was younger is what got him interested in the sport. “I would say around the age three is when I really took interest in baseball. When I train, I go out to the cages and work on field drills. I work on these drills so I can fix my fielding errors and help the team come out with a win.”

While sports are not the only thing Eli is involved with but also studying to maintain good grades and the drama club. His jersey number represents a special meaning as to why he chose that to be his number. His jersey number represents Derek Jeter’s number and also one of his favorite players in the baseball league. On every team there is always that one person on the team everyone can go to and that would be Dylan Davis for the Rocket baseball team.

“The go to person would be Dylan Davis. He is that person that stands out the most, supportive, out-going and the leader to get everyone pumped up before every game. Win or lose he is our guy.”

All in all as Eli continues with baseball throughout the  rest of his high school career, it is a possibility that he will continue on through college. On the Rockets baseball team you experience some great memories with the players. Eli enjoyed the “walk off” off West Greene field. with his teammates.
