Zachary Shaffer is a junior and a member of the Jefferson-Morgan baseball team.

Zachary plays 1^st base and sometimes pitches. “I prefer pitching because it is challenging and it’s a lot of fun. I love pitching.” Zachary two brothers play baseball. One is a pitcher and one is a DH (designated hitter).

Zachary has been playing baseball for 9 years.  He prepares himself for games by listening to music and chewing gum, he prefers Big League.

He practices during the off season by going to the gym and hitting at the batting cages. This keeps him in shape for the following baseball season. “The love of the game is what motivates me to participate in the games and every day practices. I love baseball.” .

Zachary’s hopes for the team are very high. Beating Carmichaels is one of his objectives this year as well.
