Josh Clites is a freshman and a shooting guard for the Boys Basketball Team and currently plays for the Junior Varsity. This is his ninth year of basketball.

Josh enjoys playing basketball, regardless of the setting, but he finds playing at home is more enjoyable. “I like playing at home better because everyone that you know is there. There’s a larger support system to cheer you on. I am more used to the court I’m playing on.” The sport is always fun to the athletes, but often they like playing at home better.

Clites would encourage more people to come out for the basketball team. “If people would like to join, I would say go for it. It is extremely fun and a great way to stay in shape. Also, there is always the possibility to make new friends. “Josh believes that being a member of the basketball team is a very beneficial experience.

Josh has many goals for not only this season, but his entire career on the basketball team. “I hope to eventually be able to earn a varsity jersey. That is my main goal. With doing that, I hope it also earns me a letter.” Clites hopes to get the most out of his time on the basketball team.

Clites started playing basketball due to being encouraged by his friends. He never regrets the decision he made. He has come to thoroughly enjoy basketball.
