Kedar Davis- Basketball

Kedar Davis is a small forward on the boy’s basketball team. Davis has played basketball for 4 years and his jersey number is 22.

“My cousins play basketball as well, we all really love the sport.  I would have to say that they are my biggest fans along with the rest of my family and friends.”  During the boys last game Davis scored 4 points.  He’s hoping that the team will have a good season this year and beat last year’s numbers.

Davis looks forward to each game although; he does love the feeling of playing home the best.  “Home is the best because I love having the home crowd cheering us on.  It can be nerve racking if you mess up but we have a great group of fans who will support us no matter what.”  Davis just likes to have fun and enjoy the game.  To prepare in the off season he lifts and goes to the open gyms that are held for the team.

“I look up to the professional player Kevin Durant,” Kedar said.  “One of Durant’s positions is a small forward just like me.”  He inspires Davis to work hard to be the best he can be.  Davis also looks for help on his team “My go to person on the team is Rece Henneman. I go to him when I need advice on the game.” Davis says the team’s hardest opponent is Cal so his best memory from last year is definitely beating them.

Davis is a junior and is looking forward to his last few years of basketball. He’s focusing on having a good last season with his senior friends and having his best season yet this year.
