Armond Jacobs

Armond Jacobs is a sophomore guard for the Jefferson-Morgan Rocket boys basketball team.

Armond is a point guard for his team. He has been playing basketball for two years, and has been working hard since he decided to play basketball. He was inspired to play by other people. “It started by me wanting to be better than my brother, Jalen about 3 years ago. After that, I ended up loving the game,” said Armond. He is very competitive, that helps with playing basketball.

He’s looking forward to helping his team and winning. He’s also looking forward to learning how to work with other people. For Armond and the team, their toughest opponent was Monessen. In the off season, Armon prepares very well by doing push-ups, getting lots of rest and doing drills to improve.

“My favorite player is a tie between Pete Maravich and otherwise known as Pistol Pete or Earvin Johnson and otherwise known as Magic Johnson. They were the best at what positions they played. Pistol Pete could do anything. Kyrie Irving and Magic Johnson were both passing legends and they could also score,” stated Jacobs. Some like playing away games better and some like home games better. “I love big crowds so my answer to this question could go either way. But if I were to choose 1, I would choose home games. Home games give me the chance to impress my friends and family,” said Armond.

Good luck to Armond in the rest of the season!
