Jalen Torres – Boy’s Basketball

Jalen Torres is a freshmen and plays point guard on the boys’ basketball team.

Jalen has been playing basketball since he was in 5th grade but he hasn’t lettered yet. His biggest fan is his mom because of all the support she has given him over the years. Jalen was asked what his inspiration was for playing and he responded with, “It makes my mom happy and she’s proud of me. I’m also doing it for my grandma.” There are two other people in his family that play basketball which are his cousins Richard and Eric. In the off season Jalen plays basketball with his cousins and works hard at it.

Stephen Curry is Jalen’s favorite professional player because he finds it amazing on what he can do on the court. Even with hard work there is going to be someone that would be your toughest opponent, Jalen’s is Traquan Lockman. His go to person on the varsity team is Rece but on the JV team it’s himself.

“I like home games more because of the support we get,” said Jalen. His favorite memory from last season would be the City Champs Game. Jalen is really looking forward to the season. Some advice he would give to underclassmen is don’t hesitate, always move forward.

Jalen is looking forward to a winning season and hopefully playoffs. His jersey number is three so go out and give him some support!
