Nicole Venick is a junior and plays as a forward for Waynesburg soccer team.

Nicole finds the soccer pre-season to be the most challenging. “The training is tough in the beginning because the coaches are trying to get us all in shape for the actual season. It’s all worth it in the end though.”  She finds knowing that she’s done everything she could to be very rewarding. She likes to know that she has put all her effort in by the end of the game.

Nicole’s favorite memory took place her sophomore year. She scored the winning goal for her team at their last game. It was a very intense game because they had to go into a double overtime. Her goal for this season is to score at least 3 goals. She would also like to make playoffs.

Forward is Nicole’s favorite position. Being a forward you have more possession of the ball. “I like this position because it gives you lots of opportunities to score.”  Her favorite drill is the star drill. During this drill, you get to shoot a lot of goals.

Nicole isn’t looking to play after high school. She would like to offer to other players though that hustle is key.
