Shaping Up
Lifting is a great way to stay active and in shape. Lifting relieves a lot of stress and makes people feel great. I just joined a gym over a week ago and I have not missed a day since. The trainers are really nice and they help me with new things. On average I like to work my biceps and triceps, but I have to take a day or two off to do legs. At the gym there are so many machines and different exercises to keep it exciting. I look forward to going every day and getting in shape.
The reason I have started lifting is to get in shape for the 2016 motocross season. It takes a lot of effort with racing. Everybody thinks that riding a bike is easy, but when going fast and having to work the bike with my body, it gets really tiring. On the second to last lap is where I really have to push myself to keep going and keep the same pace. When I get tired I tend to get sloppy, but if I get in shape this will not happen.
I like to be at the gym for an hour a day so that way I do not strain myself. My routine at the gym starts off with the treadmill for thirty minutes. This allows me to get lose and warmed up. After this I like to row for fifteen minutes. This works almost my whole body especially my abs, biceps, and triceps. When I get off of the rower I like to do machines that work my biceps and triceps. This part of my body is my main focus because when I ride I get something called arm pump. My arms get very tired and start to go numb. My hands lock up and I cannot move them so they stay in the same position.
With the season coming up fast I need to work hard. I am hoping with all that I am doing I get good results, and everything that I do will pay off in the future for 2016.
