Prison Break Continues

As of Sunday night, I’ve finished the series of Prison Break. I very much enjoyed the series; it always kept me wondering what could happen next. I wasn’t too sure whether or not to watch it first because I was going to watch Sons of Anarchy but I did a vote on twitter and Prison Break won. Basically Prison Break it about two brothers: one who has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his younger sibling, a genius who devises an elaborate plan to help him escape prison. The brothers, along with six other prisoners at Fox River State Penitentiary, manage to escape, and the second season follows a massive manhunt chasing the group. Dubbed the Fox River Eight, the group splits and members go their individual way, occasionally meeting up to help each other. Michael is recaptured and sent to a Panamanian jail, Penitenciaría Federal de Sona, at the end of the second season. The third season revolves around Michael’s breakout from Sona with several other inmates. The fourth season revolves around Michael and some of the inmates struggling to escape from the police while avoiding a secret group of multinationals called The Company known as Scylla that wants them all dead.

At first I thought Lincoln Burrows, Michael’s brother committed the crime. All the facts were there to prove that he was guilty. But it turns out that the company (Scylla) set up the entire murder, and it made sense because later on it turns out there mom is in charge. The entire time Michael and Lincoln believed there mom was dead until Scylla was after them. The biggest plot twist was finding out that Lincoln and Michael aren’t brothers; Lincoln was adopted so they never knew the truth, until Lincoln was on his death bed.

The way the series ended was awful. I didn’t expect it to end the way it did. Michael already had an illness and sacrifices his life for his wife Sara Tancredi, and his brother. He wanted them to have a better life. It turns out that there is going to be a season 5 in the making this year. The new season will show the explanation of how Michael Scofield came back to earth alive and the reason behind Sara’s new marriage. Clues surface about Michael and Sara teams up with Lincoln to engineer the biggest escape ever. After 11 years of the making, Prison Break it back!
