Preston Wood named National Math and Science Initiative Stem Star Award Recipient
Preston Wood has been selected as a recipient of the NMSI Stem Star Award.
Son of Jimmy and Jaime Wood of Waynesburg, Wood is a junior at Jefferson Morgan High School.
Wood is a three-year member of the basketball team. He serves as secretary/treasurer for the 11th grade student council. He is a member of Envirothon, Science Olympiad, Drama Club, Leo Club and National Honor Society.
“I am enrolled in AP courses so I can expand my academic limits and prepare myself for the next level in my academic career,” said Wood.
Wood is enrolled in AP Statistics, AP Government and Politics, AP Environmental Science, and AP Language and Composition.
