Christian Pyles – Athlete Biography

Christian Pyles is a sophomore and plays left guard for the Jefferson-Morgan Football Team.

This will be Christian’s first year lettering in football at Jefferson. He has played football for eight years; some of those years include his years at Beth Center and Waynesburg. “The hardest thing about football is staying focused even when being experienced in playing football is still a challenge, no matter who you are.”

Christian looks up to Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens. Ray Lewis encourages him to do better and play as a team, and not as an individual. Christian’s father played football throughout high school at Jefferson-Morgan, so he looks up to him as well.

“If you want to start playing football you should prepare ahead a time, because there is a lot of physical conditioning that may seem pointless, but it helps. Even though running is boring, it helps with a lot of aspects that players do not look at.” The most rewarding thing to him is representing the colors of the JM, and the bond he has with his teammates.

Christians plans to play football throughout high school, and wants to make it to a Division One college or the NFL. With the support on his team with him Christian knows that his team is very important to him.
