McDonald’s officially started selling Shamrock shakes in the beginning of February, which is odd since usually they start selling them in March closer to Saint Patrick’s Day. Now, that it’s 2017 McDonald’s has 5 new flavors.

The McDonald’s McCafe menu features the original Shamrock shake, a Chocolate Shamrock shake, a Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé, a Shamrock Hot Chocolate and a Shamrock Mocha.

The chocolate shake is just half shamrock flavor and half chocolate, The Chocolate Shamrock shake has been a part of the secret menu for years, The Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé is the same as the originally Chocolate Chip Frappé but just has pumps of mint syrup alone with green candy sprinkles. The Shamrock Hot Chocolate is just a mint hot chocolate long with the mocha. The Shamrock Mocha can be served as hot or iced whatever is your favorite.

As an employee of McDonald’s,it seems as though the original Shamrock Shake and the Chocolate Shamrock are the most popular. I’ve had a customer 15 large shakes so you could say they are pretty good.  I have yet to try the other new items but also haven’t had the opportunity to make the hot chocolate or the mocha’s so I’d say they aren’t the best sellers.
