Austin Clark – Athlete Biography

Austin Clark is a senior and a pitcher for Jefferson Morgan Rocket’s varsity baseball team.

“To stay focus you can’t let your emotions get the best of you while playing, good or bad,” said Austin.

Austin has participated in baseball for a long time, since he was five years old. He has lettered three years so far and this year will be his forth year. Outside of school practice Austin practices every day for 2 hours with his team, at home he practices 3-4 hours including workouts. He played in The Washington Colt League and last year claimed the championship title. “He plays to win, when he loses he doesn’t get upset. Austin has also made the All-District baseball team. With all these achievements he can still improve. He can always improve on his direct control in pitching.

“The most rewarding thing about baseball is meeting new people who enjoy playing the game as well,” said Austin. The most difficult aspect of baseball is the age. As you age the other baseball players get better and you have to keep up to get on their new level.

Austin is going to be finishing his fourth year in high school baseball. We wish him luck in the remaining season.
