Isaac Dean is a junior and is a member of the baseball team.

Isaac plays baseball because it is a great game that presents several challenges every day. The most difficult aspect of baseball for Isaac is the mental part of the game.

Although Dean admits that baseball is challenging. “It is the mental part of the game that makes it challenging, when you make an error or don’t get a hit, it is hard to shake it off,” said Isaac.

One of Isaac’s goals to achieve this season is to have his first high school playoff berth. The position Dean plays on the field is catcher.

Isaac said “I catch, I like to be the leader on the field.” On his goals list he said, “I would like to have my first high school playoff berth.”

Dean has had plenty of good memories on the the bus rides to and from games. He also looks up to Derek Jeter because he is the one that inspired him to play baseball.

He said, “Derek Jeter inspired me to play with a purpose, and he showed me to respect the game.” Isaac also said, “The bus rides are always a great time no matter what.”

Isaac participates in baseball and loves the challenges it presents every day. On thing Dean does not like about baseball is when the coaches put the team down.

“I don’t like when a coach belittles the team for making errors, which brings a team’s morale down even more,” Isaac said. Dean said, “I participate in baseball because it’s a great game that presents several challenges every day.”

Isaac Dean is looking forward to the rest of his baseball career and is very excited and proud to be apart of this sport. He has set some goals for himself but especially for his team this year.
