DL Garrett is a freshman and a quarterback and corner for Jefferson Morgans football team.

DL participates in football because, “It’s fun and relieves aggression.” He has been playing for 3 years and enjoys playing football. Before a game, DL has special rituals (songs and/or superstitions). He says, “Because it gets me pumped before a game.” DL plays hard so his rituals are definitely working.

With playing for 3 years, he is very happy with his performances. DL says that his best performance was against Mapletown. In that game he had 3 touchdown passes against Mapletown’s football team. Even though his best performance was against Mapletown, his best game he has played in was against Clay Battelle. He said he had a very good game there.

DL’s advice for any students wanting to participate in this sport is to, “Play hard and pay attention.” He states that the hardest part for him is the running. With being a running sport, participants would be considered to run quite a bit. But, with already playing for 3 years, it shouldn’t be as hard as it first was for him now.

DL’s goal for this season is to letter. Being a freshman he could possibly letter. Also, his future plans after high school are to be a shuttle cart operator.
