Movies

There are different ways to watch movies. You can go to a theater to watch them, watch them on Netflix, or rent them from Redbox to watch.

Going to the theater to watch a movie is nice because of the big screen the movie is projected on. The movie is also played loud so you’re sure to hear everything that’s happening. Movie theaters aren’t that expensive either and if you have your student ID with you, you get a little discount. Movie theaters also offer snacks and refreshments in the lobby to enjoy during a movie. They tend to be very pricey though. “Movie theaters sometimes have loud and noisy people in them that disturb me while trying to watch a movie,” says Paige Stanko. “Little kids like to mess around too during movies and it distracts me.” Theaters can usually hold a lot of people and the more people there are the noisier and disruptive it can get.

Another way to watch a movie is on Netflix. Netflix is on online streaming of media. It only costs 8 dollars a month to use it. They have tons of movies and TV shows. They are much categorized and can be very easy to find using the search bar. You can get Netflix on a smart TV, Xbox, PS4, Wii, or any other gaming system. You can also get it on cellphones, tablets, computers and iPods. It can stream of off internet, wifi, and cellular data.

Redbox kiosks are located at local convenience stores, fast food restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies. They rent out the latest movies and games. They usually cost a little over a dollar a night plus tax. The rentals need to be returned by 9 p.m the next night. Each extra night you keep them, it will charge you extra money. You can rent up to 5 DVD’s or games at a time. There is only one kiosk at each location and when multiple people are at one wanting to get movies or return them, it can take a while to do and result in a line of people. “Waiting in line for Redbox movies can be pain sometimes, especially if you’re in a hurry,” said Hayley Palone.

In conclusion, each way of watching movies has their ups and downs. Which way you decide to watch movies can depend on how often you watch movies and how much money you are willing to spend on them.
