As the month of October approaches it brings the idea of Halloween to the minds of most people. With Halloween come several fun activities, such as carving pumpkins and going trick or treating. As you get older the fun may be taken out of Halloween, because you simply feel too old. Most people love candy, and getting free candy handed out to us in large amounts?  Sounds like the best day ever. Sadly, this fun time known as trick or treating seems to be reserved for younger children. As teenagers, some of us may feel pretty silly walking around the neighborhood collecting candy amongst toddlers, and we will probably receive some funny looks. Often there is a point in a child’s life where they realize they might need to retire the Halloween costume and just start to pass out the candy. It is sad when we feel that we have become too old for trick or treating, it is just another reminder we are growing up and not little kids anymore. Not being able to go trick or treating does not mean that all the fun is sucked out of Halloween. There are still several other activities that we can partake in as teenagers. For example, you are never too old to carve a pumpkin. Who is to stop you from adding these fun decorations to your house’s Halloween attire.  Carving pumpkins is a fun way to get into the spirit of Halloween without feeling like you are stepping out of your age group. No matter your age, you can still find some fun activities to do on Halloween.
