Love takes Thought

It seems pretty simple to show someone affection on Valentines Day, but sometimes it can be a little hard to figure out a how.

It all really depends on the type of person you’re trying to show affection to. There are some people that like getting flowers or getting a giant stuffed animal that’s twice the size of them. “I have only ever gotten a small stuffed bear from my boyfriend, but that was on my birthday. I have never gotten anything except some chocolates from my mom on Valentine’s Day,” Morgaine responded, when asked if she had ever been given something by someone that she thought showed affection.

There are also those people that find the smallest gestures an act of affection. Just holding the door open for them or going out of their way to see them. These people are the ones that still believe in hospitality which lives in everyone. Some people will say they don’t want anything big, but in reality, the majority of them want something big. Something big could really consist of, a huge display in their bedroom telling them how much they like them or taking them out to a fancy restaurant.

A lot of girls are really hard to show affection towards, and with the guys, they will go too out there or barely attempt to try at all. There is that perfect medium when the boy can understand what he has to do to show the girl how much he likes her. Boys have to be pretty easy to show affection to. With my boyfriend, all I really have to do is hug him or watch movies with him and he’s extremely happy and knows I love him. “I actually want something kinda big for Valentine’s Day this year, only because we have been dating for a while and he seems to be hiding something,” said Morgaine, when she was asked if she’d rather have something big or small done to show affection.

Valentine’s Day is not always about going out to fancy restaurants; it’s about being with the ones you love. You don’t need fancy gifts to show someone you care and love them, just remember that.
