Spring Fun

Many students look forward to the warmth and happiness of spring here in Jefferson-Morgan High School. There are things Spring brings such as Easter, warm weather, rain, and Spring Break.

One main thing high school students look forward to having in the Spring is Spring Break. Spring Break is a break that usually occurs around the time of Easter and gives students a 5 day break. “Over my 5 day break I treat it like it is a normal weekend and usually just play video games, with the occasional raid of the fridge when I’m hungry,” said Noah Barno. This is one popular way many students spend their Spring Break.

However, some students may not look forward to just the Spring Break, but what also comes along with it. The Sunday in Spring Break is usually Easter, and students may look forward to that. Easter is filled with warmth, joy and fun activities to do. There are things such as coloring eggs, Easter egg hunts, or just the day of the holiday itself. Students usually like the holiday because of the candy and the gifts, but some students also like the religious history of the holiday. This is another reason students may look forward to spring.

Easter can be celebrated in a multitude of ways. Most people celebrate Easter with family. “I go to my grandmother’s house for Easter to eat food and color eggs,” said Noah Barno. Easter is a very popular holiday with 69% of Americans celebrating it. It is a very popular holiday in The United States.

With these different reasons, there are a few things to look forward to Spring for. Easter is a great and fun holiday to celebrate with family, and students get a nice break from school in this time.
