High school students spend their summer in many different ways. Most students sleep in over summer break. Without school every day there is no need to wake up at the crack of dawn anymore. Many kids eligible to work over summer get a summer job because they need the money. Students who are old enough to work are old enough to drive. These students that drive need the money to pay for gas. They may also need to make car payments. Students mainly hang out with their friends over summer. During school students don’t get to see their friends that often. During summer they can hang out all the time. There is no getting up early for school the next day so they can stay up late and watch movies, eat, and gossip. Pools, water parks, and amusement parks are all open during summer. These are great hang out places to be with friends or family. They are also great places to cool off at on hot summer days. Many sports have summer leagues. Many students get involved in these for more practice in their sports and to keep in shape for the next season’s school sports. Students spend their summer stress free, without school.
