Morgan Simkovic is a senior and is a middle hitter and defensive specialist for the Jefferson-Morgan Volleyball Team.

“I am a middle hitter and a defensive specialist for volleyball. I like being a middle hitter better because there is no better feeling than getting a great kill,” she said. Morgans goals for this year are to potentially win sections. She most definitely wants to make it to the playoffs.

Simkovic looks up to Destinee Hooker. Destinee is a volleyball player for the USA Olympic team. Simkovic is envious of Destinee’s talent and she also admires her love and passion for the game.

“For me, being a hitter and all, the most difficult thing about volleyball is the continuous jumping. Jumping to hit, jumping to block then getting off the net for defensive then repeat,” she said. Simkovic also mentioned, “As a volleyball player in general it’s a huge mental game. Getting down on yourself will ruin your chances of success.”
