Erin Confortini is a junior and a member of the varsity basketball team.

Confortini participates in basketball because she feels the sport is worth playing.

“ I sort of feel accomplished with my record this season, but there is always room for improvement,” Confortini says.

Like most sports, Confortini also has someone who she looks up to the most. This person allows her to keep that drive in playing and makes her want to work harder.

“To me, my role model in this sport is my dad,” explains Confortini.

Throughout basketball, or any sport, there is always a time for a learning opportunity. Learning from the things you do is very important and it drives her to keep moving forward no matter what happens during a game or season.

“In basketball, I see myself more as a leader rather than someone who follows. I also think I would rather have my team go through wins and losses in order to learn from our mistakes,” says Confortini.

While the season continues to press on, Confortini is excited to see her team work together. She continues to remember the good and even bad memories from previous seasons. Although the sport is a sport that involves hard work, Confortini continues to work hard, have fun and encourage the upcoming new players this year as well.
