Aaron Mylan is a junior and a member of the wrestling team.

Mylan will be wrestling at 132 pounds this year, moving up from his previous weight of 126.  Mylan found a decent amount of success at 126 but hopes to contribute to the team this year.

“I think I will be able to win more than I lose this year.  It is important to stay above .500 to help the team succeed,” answered Mylan.  “There are also kids that I am supposed to beat this year and I need to execute and beat them to help bring the team to a successful season.”

Mylan, like most athletes, is solid but hopes to improve on his abilities this year.  He has his strengths and weaknesses just like everyone else.

“I think my biggest strength would be my top game,” Mylan explained. “I do need to keep improving in every aspect of the sport to benefit myself and my team.”  Mylan also discussed that  personal goal of his would be to medal at sections this year.

Every athlete has a personal story about the sport that they are involved in.  Mylan has a family history in the sport, but it hasn’t always been the sport that he played.

“My dad is the junior high coach and when I got into 8th grade I decided to go out for the team and I’ve done it ever since.” Mylan then continued to explain that he looks up to Dean Ambrose as a pro.  The thing he enjoys most about wrestling is the day of the matches.
Mylan hopes to able to contribute to his team in big ways this year so that he, as well as the rest of the squad will be able to find success.
