    Justin Silbaugh is a freshman and a football player at Jefferson-Morgan High School.

    This will Silbaugh’s first year of high school football and his 3 year of playing football all together. He really is looking forward to his first year of high school football and wants to make a big contribution to the team.

    “I am really enjoying my first year of high school football and so far, it’s going well,” says Silbaugh. “I need to make good blocks and tackles to make a big contribution to the team.”

    Being the “new guy” on a team can always be a tough situation. Learning how to change your play style, and improving your game can also be a challenge, but Silbaugh is up for it.

    “I think I need to get faster to be able to make good blocks and tackles,” Silbaugh says. Silbaugh has stated that he likes the challenge. “Playing football and giving myself a challenge is fun for me.”

    Although football is a team sport, having some personal goals is always a good thing. Additionally, reflecting on the past and looking into the future can add another element to playing football.

    “One on my biggest goals for this season is to letter,” says Silbaugh. When asked to look into the future of playing high school football, Silbaugh says that he, “can not wait to play as a senior and be in the spotlight of Jefferson-Morgan football.”
