Makenzie Wright is a sophomore and a member of the cheerleading squad

The cheerleading squad cheers for three sports including wrestling, football and both girls and boys basketball.

Wright has had a lot of memories cheering, but her favorite one was winning her first competition at Charleroi in 5th grade.

“My favorite thing about cheering is being with friends and the football games,” Wright said.

The cheers and dances come to her naturally, but she does think the most difficult part of cheering is is getting through the games that the Rockets lose.

Wright has been cheering for nine years and plans on cheering next year.
