Once the new year arrives, softball will begin open gym.

“My favorite thing about last softball season was the team bonding. I really miss the bus rides because we would sing and laugh all the time. I am so excited to, ” said Brooke Diamond.

Last year was a great year for the Lady Rockets, they won section and went to WPIAL playoffs. In the first game of playoffs, the Rockets beat the Bishop Canevin Crusaders 9-1. The team had a total of 18 hits. Unfortunately, the Rockets fells to the South Side  Beaver Rams 5-3 and the Burgettstown Blue Devils 7-0 in the second and third rounds

“I am so excited for softball season to start. This is “our” year, we are coming off a section win. It is pretty much the same team. I am just so excited to be with my girls and do what we all love,” said Morgan Simkovic.

The team will travel to Myrtle Beach in March for a training session.  The first game of the season is scheduled for March 24, 2015.
