The Ducky Derby was organized and planned by high school students Adysan Kern and Grace Rohanna as a part of their  leadership class. It took place on October 8th at the Elementary school. Ducks were $5.

The Jefferson-Morgan elementary school was first visited by the Jefferson and Rices Landing Fire Departments and The Department of Forestry for a talk about fire safety.

After the presentation, the fire department helped students race ducks down the hill.
