Ally Bogden – Athlete Biography

Ally Bogden is junior and a third year member of the track team.

Each season Bogden sets new goals for herself. “I have a goal to get mostly 1st and 2nd place in all my events in the section. I plan on improving in the distances I’m throwing in javelin, shot put and discus. I need to work on my footwork and strength. These are the most important aspects for throwing,” says Bogden.

Bogden feels that by doing well she contributes points to the team. Points are essential to the team because they help in winning meets. The team aspect has changed a little this year. There are a lot of people participating in throwing events. This is unusual based on the past few years.

“I don’t necessarily have a set way to prepare for track meets. I just bring warm clothes because it is normally freezing. Then I run to warm up for my events,” says Bogden. Every athlete has their own thing they do to get ready for their event. It helps them to become prepared.

Ally is only a junior, so she has one more year to participate in track. Best of luck to her and the rest of the track team this season!
