National Honor Society is an elite program only open to a select few. It presents opportunities and can change people for the better. NHS is based off of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. NHS helps people become the best versions of themselves, and help everyone else. NHS is a great opportunity for everyone, and someone should strive for a chance to be a part of the organization.

“It has taught me how to become a better leader in all of my activities. National Honor Society has also help me built great character, and offered great community service opportunities,” Eli Rafail, the secretary of NHS, said.

Although NHS can be a lot of work, people have fun serving. People also enjoy helping out in any way they can towards the community. There are many opportunities for someone to help out, and gives everyone a chance to enjoy serving. The Individual Service Project lets everyone search and find the perfect service that suits them.

“I have enjoyed my time in NHS. The Individual Service Project, or ISP, I do with Relay for Life is my favorite opportunity every year,” Rafail said. “The ISP is my favorite part about National Honor Society.”

In November, 8 new members were added to Jefferson Morgan’s NHS.
