Twitter is a free online news and social network app used to share news and short messages or tweets in 140 characters or less. 

Twitter first originally created in March of 2006 however the app didn’t launch till July 2006. The creators of the well used social media app are Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. Twitter can be used to receive or share news, keep up with celebrities, or keep in touch with others. 

A positive to Twitter is that it reaches a large variety of potential customers. Twitter is available on tablets, computers, and cellular devices, and it is able to be used internationally. Also, the use of hashtags can help users reach potential customers interested in a particular topic or area. Another pro of Twitter is that it’s easy to create and post a tweet. 

A negative to Twitter is the large amount of spam or fake accounts. These accounts are used to misguide or trick users which can damage the companies name. Due to the large amount of these accounts, it is hard to control or to stop the accounts. Another con of Twitter is that even for larger companies growing a following on the app can be very difficult. 

Overall, Twitter is a safe and well known social networking app that has positives as well as negatives along with the use of it.
