Leslie White is a junior and a member of the girls’ basketball team.

White said she would like to stay in shape and so that is why she started playing.

“Because I wanted to stay in shape,” said White when I asked her why she started playing.

White first started playing basketball in third grade. White is very excited for the new season to start, so she can get out there and play.

White did say she might want to play in college.

“Yes, WVU,” said White when asked if she wanted to play in college.  She thinks she might get scholarship money for playing and would like to attend West Virginia University.

White does not only like playing with her team but all the other girls and teams out there.

When asked what her favorite part about the sport was she answered, “Being a part of the team and playing with every girl out there,” said White.

White is excited about playing and loves playing basketball with all the girls.
