Microsoft is unveiling this year one of their most innovative products of all time. This project they have been working on is called the Microsoft HoloLens. The HoloLens is a advancement of the virtual reality headsets that have been developed for gaming.  The HoloLens is a set of virtual reality glasses that augments virtual reality rather than just playing a video close to your face, like the average virtual headsets.  The HoloLens creates live picture played overtop what you actually see.

The HoloLens gets its name from creating hologram like images in your view. The science fiction holograms are now a reality. The holograms are things such as floating virtual display, to playing a video game on a flat table with nothing but your hands and your headset.

Holograms are the new innovations of today and Microsoft’s headset is literally one of the first products to touch on interactive holograms. The HoloLens will be released in the first quarter of 2016, and will be available for those who preorder it for the cost of $2000. The prices are well worth it considering this is the future of virtual reality and augmented reality.

The HoloLens does feature some video games along with its app that are included with it, such as Minecraft. Minecraft can now be played anywhere as long as you have the headset and a surface for the headset to project to. The headset is not a projector, the HoloLens, just like virtual reality headsets allows for you to step into another world of seeing, and experience things. The HoloLens allows for so much to happen with today’s technology it is unfathomable.  It seems as if a product such as this is so out of place on the timeline that we should have it yet.  This product is in everyone word amazing considering you can see sound waves, and sound sources with it. These glasses are going to become the new Google Glass that people were raving about, a few years ago.
