NVIDIA, the company that is known for their graphics hardware, is dropping their new graphics card line on May 27th and June 10th. The new graphics cards the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070 are the most powerful graphics cards that have been made by NVIDIA, especially for the price for performance. The GTX 1080 and 1070 are both being released on the same day and are claimed to be as powerful or probably more powerful than that of the acclaimed TITAN X graphics card that can cost upwards around $1200. These graphics cards both are almost half the price of the TITAN X. The GTX 1080 will cost $599 and will be more powerful than the TITAN X card. For almost half the money it would be well worth upgrading instead of paying the $1200 for the TITAN.

The last line of cards that NVIDIA dropped was the 900 series, which when it came out about 2 years ago offered some of the most powerful graphics you could get for $150-$500 and compared to the 700 series it was very power efficient, meaning a huge power supply is not needed to run the cards. The 900 series had the GTX 950, 960, 970, 980, and 980ti. These 5 cards in the series were all pretty powerful but the 950 and 960 were only around $250, for gamers who are not playing intense games that require that extra clock or memory. The 970 was the best selling in this series because of it price and what it could do. Compared to the 980 and 980ti it was not worth really upgrading since it was only behind them by a few frames per second. As for the 1000 series I expect NVIDIA to release a 1050 and a 1060 for those who are not playing the most demanding games but want a good enough graphics card for power efficiency and price.

The 1070 and 1080 cards will come with a more expensive version that will allow for more overclocking space and a more powerful fan so that heat will become less of an issue. NVIDIA is always releasing new cards but this card seems like it is going to make all other cards go extinct because it’s in every way better than every past series, there is nothing that makes a TITAN X better than the regular series now.
