Senior year, it can be very exciting as well as scary. Why scary? Well you’re leaving the teenager life and going into the adult life. Now yes I know that I am not a senior, but next school year I will be. Honestly i’m nervous and excited, i’m nervous because it feels like school has just zoomed by. I’m excited because after school i’ll be going to college, so it’s like “come on I want to be done with high school” but then again I know I will miss Jefferson-Morgan immensely.

I do not exactly know how it’s going to be for my senior, but in a way feel like it would be a somewhat similar to transitioning from sixth grade into high school. When that happened I was extremely nervous because it’s like “Ahh new environment!” Like you’re not use to it, however I am use to high school. It would feel a bit different considering you will be like “top dog” of the school. In a way it’s like “hey, i’m the boss, move out of the way freshman”, but a lot less mean. Some people think like being a senior is not that big of a deal but honestly like you’ve been in school for a good bit of your life and ever since I been in elementary school I could not wait to become one of the “big kids” and now that i’m so close I could almost taste it, I do not want to be a “big kid” I want to be a little kid again. High School is going way too fast for my liking.

My advice to all the underclassmen, enjoy the highschool days. Have fun, make the most of it! High School is a one time thing. Before you know it you will be getting your child ready for school and thinking, “feels like I was in high school yesterday.” It will happen, I feel that way now. But with my sister when she tells me “sissy,I cannot wait to be in high school like you.” I constantly tell her enjoy it while it lasts because you will miss it all someday, I can promise you that.
