The SATs or ACTs are tests that you take that determine if a student is ready or not to graduate. Honestly I feel like that should not be, some people are extremely intelligent but when it comes to major tests they freak out which may result in them failing. I know when I found out about the SATs I got extremely nervous and already though “Oh I am not going to graduate.” I was extremely nervous and scared, I still am.

Ever since elementary school you had to take certain tests that determine certain things dealing with school. For example, if you gotten a certain grade on a test and it is not as high as it should be then you get put into the less advanced classes. Honestly in my opinion those tests should not define how smart a person is. Maybe when that person took that test they were beyond nervous and couldn’t think straight. I am not making up excuses as to why someone failed. Some people just did not take the test seriously which then I understand.

Regardless these tests should not matter if you pass or not. I feel like if a student ends the year with good enough grades and everything then the student will graduate. Now I am not saying, “Let’s take these tests away immediately!” A good idea would be if you get a certain grade on those tests then they could be awarded. Awards include; a scholarship, money award or even plaque. By doing so everyone may be calmer about taking these tests.  This way it would be more beneficial for the student(s).
