Trouble with the Curve was released in 2012. It is not only a baseball movie; it has a great life lesson. Clint Eastwood stars in it, along with Amy Adams. It is one of my favorite movies. The moral behind the story is my favorite part.

It is about a man and his daughter going through a tough time. The daughter’s name is Micky and the father’s name is Gus. Micky moved away for college after her mother passed away and never looked back. Micky and her dad had a special love for baseball, but they never really talked. Gus was a scout for the MLB and he was getting sick, but was so stubborn that he wouldn’t stop working. He loved his job and was really good at it but he couldn’t see as good. One of Gus’s friends called Micky at work and told her that he was really sick.

Micky came in to help her dad out. At one of the baseball games that they were scouting at, Micky found the love of her life. Gus and Micky always fought and bickered about everything. They were scouting this high school baseball player that had so much potential, but wasn’t a nice person. Gus had a weird feeling about him and called to turn in his report on this kid. They wanted to fire Gus because they thought he was wrong. They told him he was getting too old and should think of retiring. In the end they found this amazing pitcher together and Micky fell in love with her old life. Later on, Micky found a new job working for the MLB and her dad ended up retiring.

The life lesson behind the movie is that family will always be there. Family and friends are the most important thing and I completely agree with this. Micky learns that her job isn’t the only thing that matters; her dad is her top priority. I recommend this movie because everyone can learn something from it.
