Parts of a Whole

Since the beginning of my high school life, I have learned many different personalities of people. Many people do fit under stereotypes, but there is a lot more to a person. A person can be smart, athletic, and shy all at the same time. No one can fit under just one category, and I think it is hard for people to understand that. There are multiple sides to a person, and that is what makes a person unique. Sometimes people like to go out of their normal routine and look nice or bum it down for a day. Everyone has multiple layers to them, and that is why everyone is different.

There are the stereotypes from the athletes, nerds, skaters, and shy people. The hardest questions I am faced with involve a complete decision. Do you like working in groups or alone? Well my answer is both. Questions like these; I feel are not the right ones to ask. Sometimes I feel the energy off my group and work even better, yet other times I wish I could shun myself from everyone. Making a decision I feel conforms me to a side. I personally, can never be for one side all the way.

Today as a society, we are more opened minded, but we still put people under categories. I feel that we should stop, and let people not be set on one certain side. People have multiple sides, it will always be that way, and I think instead of asking one sided questions, we should encourage being who you want to be. Do you like the cookie or cream better? Why do I need a decision because I feel that together they are much better than a part? Stop stereotyping because everyone has multiple sides to them.
